Cooper strives to produce tires that meet and exceed the performance requirements of its customers in an environmentally sustainable way. The impact of a product on the environment is a function of how it is produced, the performance of the product during its useful life and how the product is disposed of at the end of its useful life. Thus, in its procurement of raw materials, in its production cycle, in the performance characteristics of its products and in advice to customers as to tire care and use, Cooper seeks to minimize the impact on the environment.

Cooper's commitment to being a world class steward of resources and environmental integrity
Cooper recognizes its responsibility to be a good community citizen. Part of this responsibility is to protect the environment in the communities which we operate. Cooper works to protect the environment in a number of ways, including considering the environment in the design of products and processes, preventing pollution, using energy and natural resources efficiently, controlling emissions, reducing waste, providing training, and working toward continual improvement. As stated in Cooper's Environmental Policy, each Cooper employee knows that he or she shares in this responsibility.
Our environmental management systems, involvement in scrap tire management, energy management and usage, and manufacturing emission management are examples of Cooper's commitment to the environment.

Since the formation of the Company in 1914, Cooper Tire has conducted business with honesty, integrity and a strong commitment to the highest standards of ethics. Cooper Tire has operated in small communities for nearly 100 years. Accordingly, Cooper Tire is closely integrated with and important to those communities in which we operate.
